Last night I was sitting in Brooklynn's room watching her play and reflecting on our life together. I'm truly amazed at this thing called "life". Just 20 months ago I found out I was pregnant. I was able to grow a life inside of my body. I went from growing this little dot I called Jelly Bean. To a 7lb little girl named Brooklynn. A year ago she was born. She was so tiny and innocent. She needed me for everything...she couldn't even hold up her own head or really control her movements. Last night I sat in rocker and watched her play with the cell phone. She would put it up to her ear as if she was talking to someone. It amazes me how quickly she learns and picks up things. Things I didn't intentionally teach her. She knows what the comb and brush are used for and will try to comb her hair in a heartbeat (although she has a fit when I try to comb it...hence the two crooked pony tails she has today.) Brooklynn doesn't talk but has a way of getting her point across. She'll let me know what she wants or doesn't. She'll "dance" and clap her hands to music. When you grab her shoes she'll stick out her foot for you to put it on. She gives the BEST hugs and kisses. She loves her Mommy. She's growing more and more independant everyday. I sometimes yearn to be able to pause time so that she doesn't grow up too fast but I look forward to the future too. I love this thing called "life".
